What Lindisfarne College of Theology Believes

We are a Church of England training college, and are happy to receive applications from any who wish to study theology, mission and ministry. For the benefit of those outside the Anglican tradition, it may be helpful to say briefly what we believe (which in some traditions can be known as a ‘Statement of Faith’).

The Church of England believes in God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe  that God is revealed to us in the Bible, as received in the traditions of the Church of England. In practice this means we take seriously scripture, the great church creeds of the early Christian centuries (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian creed), and the 39 articles of the Church of England.
